Viral Kindness

Viral Kindness

Using this #viralkindness card extend love and support to your neighbours at this unsettling and difficult time.

On Friday my kids and I placed the attached cards in our neighbours letter boxes complete with our contact details. Within 24 hours I was contacted by 2 of our elderly neighbours expressing their gratitude.

In a time of great uncertainty and necessary social distancing and isolation you can not underestimate the power of kindness. We found the act of extending care and support to our neighbours equally restorative for ourselves.

Some responses from the neighbours included:

I am fortunate to not be currently in quarantine but wanted to thank you for what you are doing. With the chaos and uncertainty going on right now, it’s wonderful to know that whatever happens there are people, including strangers like you, that the community can reply on and turn to.

I got your flyer in the mail and just wanted to say I really respect what you’re doing! I believe there will be a lot of upsides to be taken out of this unfortunate period, with people looking out for each other developing better appreciation for how good we really have it! Good on ya

If you need printed copies of this card, they can be made available to you to drop into your neighbours letter boxes, please contact Emma Hanna – emma.hanna@manninghamuc.org or 0418 133 818
