Manningham Uniting Church reaches and connects through various opportunities throughout Greater Victoria.
Some are partnership initiatives with community organisations, others are organised by the state office of the Uniting Church in Australia (Synod of Victoria and Tasmania).
A GRAND STAND for the Environment Inc.
- A Grand Stand for the Environment provides anyone who sees the need to care for the natural environment, opportunities in which to reflect upon our relationship with the earth; our connection and affinity, our disconnection and disorientation amidst the crazy world of consumerism in which we live. - Manningham Uniting Church supports, advocates and raises awareness for the environment through this community group by promoting and attending small group discussions, arrangement of guest speakers, partnering with local sustainability efforts.
Sammy Stamp
- Sammy Stamp is an initiative of the UCAF (Uniting Church in Australia Fellowship). The collection and sale of used stamps, phone cards and met tickets provides funds to the Special Needs Fund which grants money for small projects not covered in the Synod (state church) budget (paraphrased from https://www.victas.uca.org.au/getinvolved/Documents/Sammy%20Stamp.pdf)
- Manningham Uniting Church collects and processes used stamps which are donated to Sammy Stamp so that they can support various charities such as Frontier Services and bush chaplaincies.
